Welcome
Screen Stockport is an independent short film and television festival that aims to bring together filmmakers of all ages, regardless of background and experience.
Now in its second year, Screen Stockport is looking to build upon the success of last year's festival and continue to connect emerging creatives to experienced industry professionals for potential mentoring opportunities and collaborations.

As a film festival, Screen Stockport encourages the development of grass roots filmmaking on a local, national and international level and welcomes submissions in all styles and genres.

In this episode we talk to one of Britain's most iconic media figures, Dame Joan Bakewell, or to give her official title, Baroness Bakewell of Stockport.
As well as being an award winning journalist and broadcaster, Joan has also held the post of Chairman of the BFI and is now a successful author.
