Screen Stockport Film Festival promises to be one of our best film festivals yet, with over fifty short films screened over two days combined with discussions with leading figures in independent British filmmaking. See below for our programme of more.

Short Film Day with guest speaker Steve Sullivan

The focus of this day is the Art of the Documentary and our special guest is the award-winning director and filmmaker Steve Sullivan who is currently in the process of making Being Frank: The Chris Sievey story, the official documentary about Manchester alternative comedian Frank Sidebottom and his creator Chris more.

Student Film Day with guest speaker Mark Herbert

Following on from last year’s incredibly successful student film day, attended by over 500 students, this year we will be screening the best in student film from schools, colleges and universities from all over the more.

There were a record number of entries submitted to Screen Stockport Film Festival this year, which has made the shortlising process incredibly difficult as we look to reward and screen the work of as many filmmakers as more.
